Joining the Band

AUDITIONS
If you are not currently a member of ETSB but would like to join, please email your NAME, INSTRUMENT, and a little BACKGROUND on your musical experience to info@etsymphonicband.org. You will receive an email response with additional information and current instrumental needs in the Band. All new members will be asked to audition in front of our director. The audition is a piece of your choosing and that demonstrates your musical ability. Auditions are usually held 15 minutes prior to our first rehearsal.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Due to need for more rehearsal time, the Band will be rehearsing from 7:00-9:00pm on Sunday evenings. Rehearsals begin about 6 weeks prior to each of the formal concerts. Please note that we do not rehearse year round but only during concert season (September-May).
Current Members
REQUIREMENTS
All musicians are expected to act professionally, and as such attend all rehearsals. We require an annual $50 non-refundable membership fee. This fee helps cover expenses such as music. Musicians will also be asked to assist with our fundraisers including the Donald Knight Memorial Golf Tournament. Members will also have to purchase an ETSB polo shirt as this is our “uniform” for our more informal concerts/events. The current cost of the shirt is $20.
